The unstoppable Buriram United Esports secures Thailand’s third international Free Fire championship title in a row
  • After dominating the Knockout and Point Rush stages throughout, the Thai team eventually defeated the other 11 teams with a total score of 100 points during the Grand Final

  • Twisted Minds’ Diamond clinched Final MVP, having collected a total of 9 MVP titles and 213 eliminations through the entire Fall season

    The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia 2024 Fall concluded with the Grand Final at the Surabaya Convention Centre, Indonesia, on Sunday, bringing cheers to the stands as Thailand’s Buriram United Esports lifted the championship trophy. During its Grand Final weekend, the regional tournament saw a turnout of over 4,000 enthusiastic esports fans, who were also treated to a host of entertainment, ranging from live performances by Indonesian music acts Isyana Sarasvati and JKT48, as well as a special community experience zone at the Pakuwon Trade Center Mall atrium.

    FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall recorded its highest concurrent viewership during the sixth and last round of the Grand Final, which 364,812 viewers tuned in to, according to Esports Charts. The tournament also clocked 7,396,582 hours watched throughout its 7 weekends of intense battles.

    Boasting 100 points with 1 Booyah! and 49 eliminations, Buriram United Esports led the Grand Final from the beginning with 17 headstart points. Following behind as first and second runners-up are, also from Thailand, Team Falcons and Twisted Minds, with 89 points each.

    “This Southeast Asian championship is one my team has had our eyes on for a long time. Buriram United Esports has topped many Free Fire leagues before, and with this win, it feels like we’ve unlocked the ultimate achievement for our team,” said Coach BRU.Namo.

     

    TWIS.Diamond of team Twisted Minds was also awarded Final Most Valuable Player (MVP) for his outstanding performance throughout the regional tournament. Since the start of the Grand Final weekend, the talented rusher managed to collect 2 more MVP awards to hit a total of 9, beating close contenders BRU.Wassana, AG.Dew, and RRQ.Maal.
